The building of the provincial Offices. A.D.Zaharov architect. 1804 - 1807 years.

In 1803, the governor of Simbirsk Prince S.N.Hovansky requested permission to build a new building of the provincial public offices, instead of "come into complete disrepair" wooden buildings. It was decided to use the developed project model for the provincial official place of Academician by AD Zakharov. 19 similar buildings were built according to his project in Russia. This is one of the oldest monuments of stone architecture in Simbirsk. It was built in the style of Russian classicism.
